Sam Friedman is a Brooklyn-based artist who has contributed art to the New York Times, the Village Voice, Business Week and many others. Having already exhibited in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, So, is it just bacon here? was Friedman's first Canadian exhibition- one that earned a spot on the Hour's Hit List and featured numerous new, small artworks made especially for the exhibition.
Artist Statement
This is a collection of mainly smaller pictures on paper. They were all made in my studio in Brooklyn, NY and shipped to Canada for this show. I hope you enjoy them.
About Sam Friedman
Sam Friedman was raised in Oneonta New York. At eighteen he moved to New York City. He and his wife Laura Carmelita Bellmont share a small apartment together and he rents a studio a few blocks away. His day to day is a mix of painting, illustrating, lettering, odd jobs, and the occasional mural.
