White Cider
Eleni Bagaki and Robb Jamieson
Ran from Thursday, December 20th 2007 to Sunday, December 23rd 2007
London, UK based artists Eleni Bagaki & Robb Jamieson partnered to create White Cider, an exhibition inspired by the cheap, potent alcoholic drink of the same name that is the preferred drink of choice for impoverished London drunks and white trash Chavs. White Cider, an analogy for the artists' travels brought upon by their Emporium Gallery exhibition, used the dark sinister core behind the holiday season's good cheer as a subtext for Bagaki's challenge to the art market's general lust for quiet palatable art and Jamieson's challenge to the art world's overarching humorlessness and constrictive seriousness.
White Cider featured an array of paintings and installations created by both artists for the exhibition.
