Land of America by Ben Pobjoy

Described by the Montreal Mirror as an installation that explored the "fine line between everyman and icon that is inherently American" and by Vice as installation that "you should stop in...and see," Land of America was a complex, thought provoking photo installation that bombarded attendees with a 159 photographs (ranging from 8"x12" to 20"x30") that were taken during Pobjoy's 13 day, 7000 mile nonstop bus trek across America and Mexico. Raw yet human, Land of America communicated both the intensity of the 160+ hours that Pobjoy spent riding the bus and the spectrum that is contemporary America.

Land of America: the Book was jointly published by Switzerland CS and the Emporium Gallery to coincide with the photo installation.
