Heavy Metal in Baghdad: A Benefit Exhibition for Acrassicauda
Presented in partnership with Vice, VBS.tv, Pikto, Dose.ca and Switzerland Design
Ran from Friday, October 26th 2007 to Friday, November 2nd 2007
Curated by The Emporium Gallery, Heavy Metal in Baghdad: A Benefit Exhibition for Acrassicauda was a group exhibition fundraiser for Acrassicauda; an exiled Iraqi heavy metal band. Featuring photographs donated by international, A-list photographers, this exhibition raised much needed funds and awareness (the exhibition was written about in the Montreal Gazette and covered on prime time television by Musique Plus). The exhibition later travelled to Toronto's Xpace gallery in December of the same year.
