No Henge by Seripop
Presented in partnership with Switzerland CS and Bierbrier
Ran from Thursday, July 2nd to Wednesday, July 8th 2009
Described by the Montreal Mirror as, "Raw, trippy and distinctive" and by the Hour as, "Psychedelic explosions of colour and [a] mix of figurative and graphic elements", No Henge was Seripop's first solo exhibition in Montreal (and first Canadian exhibition in almost 2 years). The exhibition, which elaborated on Seripop's penchant for psychedelic exuberance, was an immersive, silkscreen-based sculptural print installation that transformed The Emporium Gallery like never before as no surface was left untouched. The exhibition's only Canadian date, No Henge travelled thereafter to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, England.
