Described by Nightlife Magazine as "un artiste qu’on aurait bien aimé avoir dans notre liste de «stars» québécoises" thanks to his exhibition at the Emporium Gallery, Niall McClelland is a Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist whose work has been featured in such publications as Adbusters, Arkitip, Nylon, The Walrus and Tokion. Losers, his first Montreal exhibition (which earned a spot on the Hour's Hit List), featured a collection of new artworks that were in fact a series of imagined and forgotten flags- each of which exemplified McClelland's interest in absurdity, misspent youth, graphic systems of identity and the language of mark making.
