The Emporium Gallery was founded in 2007 with the operational intent of bringing quality arts programming to Montreal all while giving established and emerging artists from both Canada and abroad the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in a professional, artist-centric environment. Focused on exhibiting contemporary artwork of any medium, the Emporium Gallery exists to exhibit artwork that is as relevant as it is interesting.



Founded by Dave Arnold, Shawn Butchart and Ben Pobjoy, the Emporium Gallery is ran by creative professionals who are well versed in culture and commerce. With long standing, international ties to the design, marketing, illustration, photography, fashion and music worlds, the principal partners of the Emporium Gallery look forward to enriching Montreal's thriving art scene all while bolstering the careers of the artists that the Emporium Gallery exhibits and/or represents.

Dave Arnold
The Director of Operations, Dave Arnold is responsible for executing the installation of exhibitions as well as interfacing with the gallery's patrons.

Beyond his involvement with the gallery, Dave Arnold is an Industrial Designer at Urban Outfitters. Dave Arnold is also an internationally published visual artist who has exhibited numerous times. His artworks can be seen here.

Shawn Butchart
The Director of Visual Communications, Shawn Butchart is responsible for creating all the gallery's graphic based collateral.

Beyond his involvement with the gallery, Shawn Butchart is the Co-Creative Director and Art Director at Switzerland and Chief Creative Officer at RedTree.

Shawn Butchart is also an accomplished producer (under his Mercedeez Benz alias). His production work can be heard here. Shawn Butchart is also a member of the Montreal based, Black Lung art collective

Ben Pobjoy
The Director of Curation and Communications, Ben Pobjoy is responsible for the organization of gallery programming as well as artist outreach.

Beyond his involvement with the gallery, Ben Pobjoy is the Co-Creative Director and Operations Director at Switzerland and Chief Marketing Officer at RedTree.

Ben Pobjoy is also an internationally published photographer who has exhibited in both Montreal and Toronto. His photographic work can be seen here. Ben Pobjoy is also a member of the Montreal based, Black Lung art collective.

Danielle Levy
The Brand Director, Danielle Levy is responsible for brand promotion and the development of strategic partnerships.
