Artist Statement
"I am a popular culture junkie and I can't help it. In my head, there are archives and archives of useless knowledge; things such as popular television sitcoms, low budget music videos, unsuccessful corporate mascots, horror movies, local bikini pin-ups, fad products, teenage subcultures and tabloid media sensations- the list goes on and on. It is quite obvious that my interest in these things manifest themselves within my artworks. I hope to show the viewer how these seemingly obscure and unimportant references have greatly influenced modern society.
